High GDP, Good Development, But CM Losing As MLA?

Stalin election setback Tamil Nadu

The people of Tamil Nadu have been extremely critical of the DMK government as they have delivered a shattering result against the Stalin-government that was in power for the last five years.

Chief minister Stalin was very hands on with regard to the industrial growth of Tamil Nadu as the state held the second highest GDP in all of India with around 9% under his tenure.

There was significant development that was registered in Tamil Nadu with regard to IT sector and also the automobile manufacturing industries. However, none of this could save Stalin from a humiliating result.

Despite leading Tamil Nadu, which has the highest GDP in South India and the second highest in India behind Maharashtra, Stalin is having an absolutely nightmarish campaign.

Stalin is not just losing his government in Tamil Nadu, but he himself is losing as an MLA from the Kolathur Assembly constituency in Chennai. He is trailing by margin of more than 8000 votes, which is likely to sustain in the next few hours.

If this is the trend that continues for the next couple of hours, then it could be a pretty shock result in Tamil Nadu where chief minister Stalin himself could be losing as an MLA.

Many exit poll and media channels predicted Stalin to return to power as the chief minister with DMK winning handsomely. But in reality, the chief minister himself is ending up, losing as an MLA in a constituency that he had historically represented.
