BJP which recorded a land slide victory in 2014 elections by baging majority on its won in the Lok Sabha elections, seem to be on a decline since then. The party had bitten dust very badly in the recent Delhi and Bihar elections and the two by-election results today reflected the same.

Leaving aside the Warangal by-election, BJP also lost its sitting Lok Sabha seat in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. This seat fell vacant with the sudden death of sitting BJP candidate. Even the sympathy factor could not stop the victory of Congress candidate.
Reports are coming in that BJP is swimming against the tide even in the local elections in its forte, Gujarat. The results will be out on December 2nd and it will be a huge blow for the party and Modi’s image if it can not manage comprehensive victory there.
