Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao seems to be a confused man at least on one issue. It is regarding a probable alliance with BJP in the coming elections. Since 2014 elections, there are speculations about TRS joining NDA but that did not happen.

But then, a decision has to be taken before 2019 elections. Even though the alliance may not be of great help to TRS in the state, it is needed at national level to have a strong partner. But then, Modi’s Expectations and KCR’s Priorities are different.
The Hindutva Ideology of Modi does not match with the Minority Appeasement of KCR. For an instance, while BJP has pushed for banning Triple Talaq, TRS MPs abstained from the Parliament not to irk minorities. TRS is pushing for Muslim Reservations but BJP is against Reservations based on Religions.
KCR wants the friendship of Owaisi as well as Modi at the same time. In anyways, both the parties can not arrive on the same ground. Even though there is an ideology mismatch, Modi also needs TRS support at the national level as 2019 MP Elections cannot be that easy for BJP and the party may have to rely on allies.
