Nagarjuna Withdraws Defamation Case Against Konda Surekha

The Nampally Court was set to hear actor Nagarjuna’s defamation case against Telangana Minister Konda Surekha. The issue drew huge media attention but ended quietly when Nagarjuna withdrew the case.

He didn’t back down easily. On Wednesday, Konda Surekha, who had made harsh remarks about Nagarjuna and his son Naga Chaitanya while discussing Chaitanya’s divorce from actress Samantha, offered a public apology.

Her statements had been replayed repeatedly across news channels before Nagarjuna took legal action. The hearing was pending for Thursday.

Realising the court’s decision would favour Nagarjuna, Konda Surekha apologised publicly. She clarified that she had no ill intent toward Nagarjuna or his family and expressed regret for her words.

The Minister has been facing political tension after her daughter’s recent outburst against CM Revanth Reddy. There’s already talk that she might be dropped in the upcoming Telangana Cabinet reshuffle.

Given her situation, she chose to stay calm and apologise. Nagarjuna accepted the gesture and withdrew the case gracefully. In the end, everything settled on a peaceful note.
