Nara Lokesh put up an excellent performance as Minister in the previous term. But he faced a shocking defeat in his first election in Managalagiri.
Lokesh preferring a difficult constituency like Mangalagiri proved to be costly. TDP did not win the constituency even once since 1989.
Lokesh, however, is keen to contest from the same constituency in 2024 as well. He is the most active incharge across the state for TDP despite the fact he does not live locally. He is also spending own funds on various development activities and welfare schemes in the constituency.
Meanwhile, YSR Congress is going to refuse a ticket for two-time MLA, Alla Rama Krishna Reddy and is going to field Ganji Chiranjeevi against Lokesh this time.
Ganji Chiranjeevi was in TDP recently and belongs to the weavers’ community. After losing all hope in Alla, Jagan is banking on caste equations.
Usually, any leader under the pressure to win will focus all his energies on the constituency but Lokesh is very confident about the victory.
He is absolutely not caring about YCP’s tactics to divert Lokesh’s Padyatra by triggering caste equations in Mangalagiri.
