Lokesh’s Decade: From Humiliation To CM Face!

Nara Lokesh political journey

Back in 2019, Nara Lokesh faced the most upsetting defeat in his brief political career at that point in time. Lokesh contested his first ever election from Mangalagiri constituency that TDP had not won in four decades and the result was weakening as he faced a significant setback.

While it would have been easy to give up the flight from Mangalagiri and pick a new constituency, Lokesh simply wasn’t up for this escape job. He fought hard from the same continency, and beyond that he even held a statewide Padayatra to energize the cadres.

As a result of the amalgamated efforts, Lokesh did not just end up winning Mangalagiri, but played his party in bringing the entire TDP+ alliance to power in 2024.

And now he is a vibrant IT minister and also the newly appointed national president of Telugu Desam party. This could be his final stepping stone before the big “CM Pattabhishekam” that could be happening sooner or later.

From being humiliated in the Mangalagiri constituency, Lokesh has come long way in the last 7 years. Today he is in a position where he holds the second highest authoritative position in TDP and one step away from being the CM face of the party.

It isn’t certain Lokesh would be promoted as CM before the 2029 election with proper understanding and comprehension of the alliance parties, or whether there would be a cooling period. But what is clear here is that Lokesh is just one more step away from the ultimate glory of CM chair and this could also be happening in near term.
