The Telugu states are set to go to polls in a few months from now and the leading political parties have started the elections game already.
In this context, YCP’s mouthpiece, Sakshi Media has been on a downward spiral for a long time now.

As per the latest GRP chart, Sakshi has slipped to the ninth spot on the list of Telugu news channels in the twin Telugu states.
With mere 11.3 GRP, Sakshi is out of the mainstream media market and the slip down has been consistent for the last few weeks.

NTV continues to lead the chart with a whopping 80.9 GRP and then comes TV9 with 58 GRP.
TV5 comes third with 32.8 and then there’s V6 with 25.3 and ABN with 22.

With elections around the corner, Sakshi’s downward spiral might cause a worry or two to the ruling party in AP, YSRC. And the upward spiral of TV5 and ABN which are firmly against YCP might also suggest a trend or two.
