TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory, one of the most happening Telugu production houses planned to install the first-ever state of Legendary NT Ramarao in the USA at the city of Edison, New Jersey. North America Seema Andhra Association (NASAA) is also part of this initiative.
This statue was planned as a part of NT Ramarao’s Centenary Birth celebrations. But then, People Media Factory and North America Seema Andhra Association (NASAA) missed the target.
M9.news asked Vishwa Prasad about what went wrong.
“We obtained all the necessary permissions from the City Governor. We were to inaugurate it in May. But unfortunately, a community objected to having the statue and we ran into an issue. We are in the process of resolving it.
M9News specifically asked if the community was a Telugu community.
“It will not be nice to reveal the name. But yes, it was an Indian community and also a Telugu community. They challenged giving permission for the statue erection. We will resolve it eventually but it will take time,” he said.
We also asked what is the form of the statue they have chosen in the wake of the controversy of the NTR Statue of Lord Sri Krishna in Khammam district.
“We did not plan the statue as Lord Sri Krishna earlier. But if we decide to keep the statue in Krishna’s Avatar. We will ensure that it is done without any controversy. Already we were being challenged. We will solve this as well in the process of solving that issue,” Vishwa Prasad added.
There are chances of two communities doing this. We can conclude one if they objected due to a caste reason and another community if it is based on political reasons.
It is tragic that these caste and politics are at play even in the United States and with a Legend like NTR.
