The total number of Coronavirus cases in India is around 500. The cases are on a rise in the last 3-4 days. Meanwhile, the people are not following social distancing as being advocated in these times. The spirit of Janatha Curfew is no longer in the people.
They are either ignorant or negligent about the Lockdown imposed in various states and are defying the lockdown to come on roads. Telangana Government had to impose a mandatory curfew from 7 PM to 6 AM daily. The Center had instructed the states to impose Section 144 if the Lockdown is not taken seriously.
Telangana Police had warned that criminal cases will be booked against persons if they are seen without any bona fide reason on the streets. The erring persons may be sent to jail for one year for any sort of violation under Section 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public servant).
There are videos in social media where police are using their lathis on the violators. Meanwhile, the three new cases were registered in Telangana this morning taking the total cases to 36. In Andhra Pradesh, the cases stand at Seven.
