A Terror Attack took place in Pahalgam, Kashmir, on Wednesday. Six terrorists armed with AK-47 killed at least 28 tourists and injured many others.
This is the deadliest terror attack in Kashmir since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.

The assailants reportedly asked individuals to identify them by name and recite Islamic verses before opening fire at point-blank.
BJP and its social media teams have started a counter-propaganda for this attack already.

They are blaming the Supreme Court for pushing for elections in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370.
Pro-BJP Journalist Arnab Goswami started this on Republic TV, and the video became ammunition for their propaganda.

The Assembly elections were held in Jammu and Kashmir happened last year and the INDIA alliance, consisting of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), the Indian National Congress (INC), the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)), and the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) won.
So, the message is that the attack happened because of the State Government, and it would not have happened if the state were under the control of the Central Government.
This is indirectly shifting the blame to the Congress Party.
Jammu and Kashmir is a different state. Even though elections have been held and a Government is in place there, the control over law and Order is still with the Indian Army, directly reporting to the Central Government.
There is no reduction of force whatsoever in Kashmir after the elections.
The key surveillance agencies of the Central Government are still in place in J&K.
Despite a strong security presence in the region, including multiple checkpoints and armed patrols, the attackers managed to breach the cover and create mayhem in the Tourist haven.
This is a clear failure of the Intelligence. The Narendra Modi-led Central Government can not evade the responsibility.
Probably, there is a lapse because it has been a while since the attack happened.
It is to be noted that the terror attack happened when US Vice-President JD Vance was in India along with his family.
The terrorists may have chosen this time to commit the massacre in Pahalgam, intending not to send a signal that everything was normal in J&K.
