Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan announced a huge donation for flood relief in AP and Telangana. He donated Rs. 1 crore each to the CM Relief Funds of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Additionally, Pawan said that around 400 villages were affected by the recent floods in Andhra Pradesh. He stated that from his side, he would be donating Rs. 1 lakh to each gram panchayat, making a total of Rs. 4 crores for 400 villages.

Overall, Pawan Kalyan donated a total of Rs. 6 crores for the relief of flood victims in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Earlier today, he visited the Disaster Management Commission’s office and reviewed the flood situation in the state. Later, he held a meeting with Home Minister Anita, the Revenue Department’s Special Chief Secretary RP Sisodia, and other concerned officials.

Speaking to the media, Pawan said that the effect of the flood is gradually decreasing in the state and that relief and rescue operations are ongoing in many areas.

He stated that the government will discuss developing a master plan for the cities of Andhra Pradesh to prevent these kinds of situations in the future. He added that a detailed plan will be created to manage floods more effectively in the coming days.

Pawan revealed that he wanted to make an on-ground visit to the flood-affected areas but withdrew his plans as per officials’ suggestions. He said that relief work shouldn’t be disturbed by his visit.
