Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi came under of the pump recently during the Delhi students protest. So his public appearance today in Andhra Pradesh at the inauguration ceremony of the Bhogapuram airport was of political significance as well.
Interestingly, it was deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, who took the responsibility of defending Prime Minister Modi and voiced his opinion regarding the recent turn of events.
Kalyan said students under 25 years of age also had the tenacity to abuse Prime Minister Modi, and this really pained him. He then prompted parents to discipline kids about how to speak about respected politicians like Modi in the public. He called for a strong verbal reprimand from parents.
Considering the fact that there were several videos on social media, where kids and students were abusing Prime Minister Modi, this is a strong retort from Pawan Kalyan at the foundational level.
Kalyan praised Modi for showing a lot of restraint and forgiving students who abused him with a very bad set of words. He was very appreciative of Modi for letting students off the hook despite their abuses on him.
“Modi is a hard-working leader and I have seen up close how dedicated he is for the country. But even so, students and kids are abusing him the name of protests and I have tears in my eyes. But I’d like to bow before Modi for showing so much restraint and understanding the situation rather than going after those who abused him.” PK stated.
