Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan has arrived in Mumbai today to undergo a necessary surgical procedure on his shoulder.
The leader is scheduled to undergo the operation at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, following medical evaluations that revealed severe damage to his rotator cuff and surrounding arm muscles.
Medical professionals had strongly advised immediate surgical intervention during an initial evaluation late last month.
However, citing his administrative commitments and pre-scheduled government initiatives, Pawan Kalyan requested a brief window to wrap up his official duties before checking in for treatment.
Having managed the intense pain through the conclusion of these state programs, he has now cleared his schedule to prioritize his health.
The injury, which reportedly dates back years and was further aggravated during extensive political campaign trails, will be addressed in phases. Specialists plan to operate on one shoulder first, with the second procedure scheduled after a brief recovery interval.
Following the operation, the Deputy Chief Minister is advised to take a mandatory five-day period of absolute rest before gradually resuming his public and ministerial responsibilities.
