Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan have toured Tirupati and took stock of the situation after a stampede killed six devotees the other day. The CM rapped the officials for the poor arrangements. He suspended two officials and transferred three.

The Chief Minister also announced a Judicial Inquiry into the issue and promised that those responsible will be punished.

On the other side, Pawan Kalyan’s statement is too momentary.

He rapped the E.O. and J.E.O. for the mishap and made some critical comments about them. He also announced that the TTD Board needs a revamp.

He apologized to the people and admitted that it is the mistake of the Government.

Apology is fine. It is definitely a lapse. But Pawan Kalyan should not have made critical comments about the E.O., J.E.O., and the TTD Board.

On important issues like this, it is pertinent that the Chief Minister and Deputy CM are on the same page.

If either one of them is trying to play to the galleries, it will only weaken the spirit of the alliance and give a chance to the Opposition.

Also, it is not right to make blanket statements when the CM announced a Judicial Inquiry.

In politics, it is important to do public messaging keeping Political ramifications in mind.
