While the brother and sister are quarreling over the distribution of shares in Saraswati Power, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has called for an inquiry into the lands involved.
Around 1,500 acres were assigned to the Saraswati Power Project in Palnadu district shortly after YS Rajasekhara Reddy took charge as Chief Minister for the second time in 2009. The land was acquired from farmers at a lower price, around Rs. 2-3 lakh per acre, for the project.

Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan is investigating whether any forest land is included in the properties owned by the Jagan family’s Saraswati Power Company in the Dhagepalli and Machavaram mandals of Palnadu district. On Friday, he ordered officials to submit a report on the extent of forest land involved.
It was reported that Saraswati Power holds 1,515.93 acres of natural resources, including streams, bends, and hilly terrain. Pawan Kalyan has clarified that a comprehensive examination of the government lands, forest lands, and water resources is necessary.
