The Government of India is planning to table the Waqf Amendment Bill 2025 in the Parliament in the upcoming session.
Only four working days are left for the ongoing budget session to come to an end on April 4.

The Opposition is opposing this Bill as they claim it is intended to destroy the autonomy of the Waqf Board and bring Waqf properties under government control. They allege that this is a direct attack on the Secular Fabric of India.
This is one of the key promises of the BJP to the right-wingers in the country.

Like how the party went all out to push the key bills like Abrogation of Article 370, Citizenship Amendment, Triple Talaq, and many other crucial bills, the BJP will spare no attempt to get this one passed as well.
Meanwhile, YSR Congress Former Minister Perni Nani supported the Agitation of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board in Vijaywada.

“Even if our politics and our circumstances are upside down. The YSR Congress Party, led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will vote against this bill. In India, all religions live together as brothers and sisters. Waqf Amendment Bill was brought in the name of religions and castes for political gain,” Perni Nani announced.
Perni Nani will make such announcements at will, as he has nothing to lose.
But the BJP will not spare anyone going against the Bill at any case.
If Jagan Mohan Reddy tries to appease his Vote Bank, the Central Government will tighten the screws in his CBI and ED Cases. YS Vivekananda Reddy’s case will also get activated.
Jagan Mohan Reddy will not take any such risk given the current circumstances.
Perni Nani and Ambati Rambabu become hyper seeing mikes, but it is Jagan Mohan Reddy to play the price later.
At best, YSR Congress will abstain the voting in the Parliament when this bill is introduced.
That will bring down the required votes to pass the bill, which will be an indirect favor.
For many years, we have seen Jagan adopt the same policy to appease his vote bank and at the same time, not to hurt the BJP at the Center.
If the numbers become tough, the BJP high command will even force the YSR Congress to vote in favor of the Bill.
