Notably, leaders in Sattenapalli are expressing dissent against Minister Ambati Rambabu, with a vocal “We don’t want Ambati” campaign, raising concerns at the YSRCP high command.
The dissent against Minister Ambati has escalated to a point where there are allegations of internal divisions within the party, fostering a ‘divide and rule’ strategy.

Senior leaders are distancing themselves from the minister, and dissident voices are suggesting that Ambati may not receive a party ticket in the upcoming elections.
A phone call survey initiated by the YSRCP high command aims to gauge public sentiment in Sattenapalli and determine the preferred candidate.

The primary allegations against Ambati include corruption, neglect of second-tier leaders and activists, and the impact of illegal mining on the constituency, leading to changes in town boundaries.

The survey results suggest that giving a ticket to Ambati could result in losing the seat.
In response to this, YSRCP leaders seem to be leaning towards the view that denying a ticket to Ambati Rambabu might be the preferred choice.
As part of the survey, residents were asked about their preference between Pinnelli and Ambati Rambabu for the upcoming elections.
The leaked survey information indicates that a significant majority favored Pinnelli over Ambati Rambabu, sparking discussions within the constituency about the potential course of action after the official announcement that Ambati Rambabu may not receive a ticket.
