Andhra Pradesh Government had issued a show-cause notice to the owners of the Polavaram contractor, Transstroy India Ltd asking them to cite the reason for the delay in the works and giving detailed information on how they are planning to complete the project within the stipulated period of time.

Transstroy India Ltd which bagged the contract during YSR’s time is struggling to execute it. Fearing the financial implications and legal complications, Government tried to fill the gap by bringing reputed Sub-Contractors to fill the gap.
But then, the company is still failing to pick pace which irritated the Chief Minister. If the company fails to give a satisfactory reply, the government is gearing up to call fresh tenders and to assign the project works to a new company.
