After a long long time, the Telugu states have produced two of the most exciting talents in Indian cricket in the form of Tilak Varma and Nitish Kumar Reddy.
Coming to the topic now, there is an ugly debate going around on Nitish Reddy that is leading to an ugly trend on social media.

While there are a few posts that say Nitish’s father has close ties with Vizag TDP leaders, in an attempt to attribute Nitish’s family to TDP, a few other are using the caste card of Nitish Reddy to bring him closer to YCP.
There are even pictures of Nitish’s father with TDP activists that are being shared. In response, YCP’s social media wing is using the caste card to project that his family might traditionally support YS Jagan’s party.

The foremost thing here is that cricketing or any form of entertainment and recreational artists must be kept away from political colours. Their family might have political aspirations, as like any other family in AP.
But just because Nitish is being seen as the next big thing in Indian cricket, the desperate attempt to link him and his family to any party in AP is not looking good.

Rather than celebrating the success of one of our own, the Telugu social media space drawing political theories on this matter doesn’t make for a good sight. But hey, that is the way that the Telugu social media space has been operating over the years.
