The public of Andhra Pradesh has shown a never-before-seen spirit in voting and electing their government. The state has recorded an unprecedented voting percentage of just over 82%, which will be the final polling percentage.
While the overall voter turnout is hugely impressive, let’s take a look at the vote percentages polled in the constituencies of six celebrities (Official figures by EC at mid-night Monday):
Chandrababu Naidu’s Kuppam: 85.87%
Jagan’s Pulivendula: 81.34%
Pawan Kalyan’s Pithapuram: 86.63%
Nara Lokesh’s Mangalagiri: 85.74%
NBK’s Hindupur: 77.82%
Sharmila’s Kadapa (Parl): 78.73%
Though exit polls are banned until June 1st, the record voting percentage typically indicates an anti-government sentiment in politics.
While the TDP+ alliance is hoping for a sweep, YRSCP fans are still hoping for a miracle.
