However, a concerning incident emerged during the postal ballot voting in the Chilakaluripet constituency on May 5. A mistake by officials led to confusion, affecting the votes of 1219 employees.

The voting process took place at Ganapavaram ZP High School in Nadendla Mandal.

It was discovered that instead of receiving postal ballots, these employees were given regular ballots meant for EVMs, which they unknowingly cast.

Unfortunately, the error wasn’t realized until after the voting had concluded. The concerned officials promptly reported the matter to higher authorities, including the Collector, who relayed the information to Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena.

This mishap prompted swift action from concerned parties.

TDP leaders Varla Ramaiaha and Marreddy Srinivasa Reddy, alongside CEO Mukesh Kumar Meena, filed a formal complaint seeking redressal.

Notably, they urged that the voting rights of the affected 1219 employees be safeguarded, with calls for re-polling. They also emphasized the importance of holding the responsible officers accountable for the mishap.
