PK Points Out Congress’ Blunder!

Prashant Kishor

Renowned political strategist Prashant Kishor commented on the Congress victory in Telangana, asserting that declaring Revanth Reddy as the chief ministerial candidate before the elections could have resulted in a landslide win.

Kishor believes that such a move would likely have secured 80-100 seats for Congress instead of the actual 64.

On the other hand, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) had initially engaged Kishor for the 2023 elections, but they later parted ways due to alleged disagreements over Kishor’s involvement in government functions.

KTR even mockingly emphasized their self-sufficiency in election strategies without relying on an outsider. He said they being the ‘Udyamam Leaders Of Telangana’ didn’t need advice from an outsider.

Reports indicate that Kishor suggested replacing sitting MLAs to minimize anti-incumbency, a proposal rejected by KCR, leading to their separation. In the recent elections, only about 12 new candidates were fielded, with the majority winning, while many incumbent sitting MLAs faced defeat.

The election results raise speculation that had KCR heeded Kishor’s advice, BRS might not have faced such a disastrous fate in the elections.
