Political strategist and Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor has expressed confidence that Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), the political party founded by actor Vijay Joseph, can secure victory in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections without an alliance with All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK).
In an interview with Thanthi TV, Prashant Kishor dismissed that Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam doesn’t need AIADMK’s support, affirming that the party will contest independently.
“Right now, the understanding and commitment are to go alone. I don’t see that changing. TVK has a high chance of winning Tamil Nadu elections in 2026,” he stated.
He also emphasized that stats from past elections does not dictate future election results, countering claims that Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam’s (DMK) 47% vote share gives them an unbeatable edge.
Prashant Kishor revealed that Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar is deeply committed to political change in Tamil Nadu and has sought his expertise in shaping TVK’s strategy.
Interestingly, he also mentioned Vijay’s popularity in Bihar and the actor’s willingness to assist his political efforts there.
Backing his prediction with confidence, Prashant Kishor asserted that Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam stands a strong chance of winning the 118 seats required to form the government.
