Media tycoon Ramoji Rao passed away earlier this morning in Hyderabad. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a private hospital for health-related issues.

Besides owning media houses, Ramoji Rao is also a renowned producer in the Telugu film industry. He bankrolled 85 films under his banner Usha Kiron Movies.

Ashwani, Mayuri, Prathighatana, Manasu Mamatha, Mouna Poratam, Anandam and Nuvve Kavali are some of the popular films which were produced by Ramoji Rao.

As a tribute to him, the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce decided to give a holiday for the film shootings tomorrow. Chamber’s Secretary KL Damodar issued a notice regarding the same.

Ramoji Rao’s demise has left a void in the Telugu media space. His contributions to the media field will be remembered forever.




Prominent personalities from around the country are paying their final respects to Ramoji Rao. His final rites will be held tomorrow at Ramoji Film City.
