Director Ram Gopal Varma landed in legal trouble as a case was filed against him in Ongole regarding the derogatory and offensive comments he made against AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan and cabinet minister Nara Lokesh.
Ram Gopal Varma was supposed to attend the questioning today but he decided to skip it. According to the reports, he made a call and requested Ongole Rurral police four days time to attend the interrogation.
RGV earlier filed a petition in the High Court stating that the case should be quashed. RGV’s advocate approached the AP High Court, stating that the case was invalid and had to be quashed. However, the court declined the petition and stated that it could not interfere in the case.
Instead, the court advised Varma to file a bail petition if he fears that he would be arrested. Ever since the court declined his petition, it has been speculated that RGV might be arrested soon.
The case was filed by a TDP leader in Ongole’s Maddipadu police station. RGV used to make offensive and derogatory comments against CBN, Pawan and Lokesh when YCP was in rule.
