The suicide of a student Rohit Vemula in University of Hyderabad had ignited a national wide outage as students and political parties foul cry on the incidents abetting the suicide of a Dalit scholar. It is said that Rohit was forced to commit suicide after getting rusticated by the University management. But the main stream media is not looking beyond that.

Rohit Vemula and his ASA (Ambedkar Student Association) are notorious for several controversial events in the campus like organizing beef festivals, protesting against hanging of terrorist Yakub Menon etc. Further Rohit Vemula and four others were rusticated for attacking a student of other organization in the campus. Media as well as every one are only looking at the suicide but are ignoring the situations that led to punishing Rohit Vemula and his friends.
Further, there is all of sudden, a new buzz that Rohit Vemula produced a fake certificate to gain admission in to the University. While he claims to be from Mala (SC) community, his brother’s caste certificate reads they are from Vadera (BC). Even Rohit’s grand mother confirms the same on camera. Is the Dalit tag added to politicize the issue? or Rohit Vemula himself faked it? Whatever it may be unnecessary student politics in the University claimed the life of a student!
