Telangana IT Minister Sridhar Babu called it a proud moment as JSW began a Rs 8000 crore drone defense facility in Maheswaram. This project stands out as a one-of-its-kind unit in India and places Telangana firmly on the defence manufacturing map.
JSW chief Parth Jindal performed the bhoomi puja in Rangareddy district’s Maheswaram. The project traces back to an agreement signed at the Davos summit. Sridhar Babu said that commitment has now taken shape on the ground.
The Minister said the project will create jobs for many locals. He added that JSW chose Telangana over other states due to its industrial policy and administrative support. The government continues to highlight this as a key strength.
Sridhar Babu said more investments will arrive during the Global Summit on December 8 and 9. The state government is pushing outreach and faster execution. Officials aim to expand industrial growth across sectors.
PM Modi and leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi are expected to attend the Global Summit. The event targets building a $3 trillion economy by 2047. The government sees the summit as a major investment platform.
