There were reports that TDP will take two of the three Vacant Rajya Sabha seats while BJP will get one.
Three Rajya Sabha Seats have fallen vacant due to the Resignation of the YSR Congress members – Beeda Masthan Rao, Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, and R Krishnaiah.

Media reports suggested that two of them will get a chance again. Beeda Masthan Rao will be renominated by TDP while BJP will offer its seat to R Krishnaiah.
There are fresh reports that the third seat may go to TDP as well.

Sources say that R Krishnaiah has some financial problems and Jayadev promised to take care of them. Jayadev may go to Rajya Sabha in his place and he will be the TDP nominee.
We will have to see if the BJP will be okay not getting a seat.

Pemmasani Chandrasekhar came as his replacement and won. He is now the Union Minister. Galla would have been easily a Cabinet Minister in Modi’s team if he did not withdraw from politics.
Whatever, an educated and upright person like Galla Jayadev in Rajya Sabha will be good for the state as well as the Telugu Desam Party.
The nominations for Rajya Sabha By-elections started from today and will go on till 10th of this month.
