Finally the long day has ended and the verdict of rural voters is here. After a marathon counting, Telugu Desam Party has won 9 Zilla Parishad Chairmen which means the party had bagged majority ZPTCs in nine districts of Seema Andhra. The nine districts with TDP are Srikakulam, Viziangaram, Vishakapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Chittoor and Anantapur. And on the other side, YSR Congress is limited to the four districts of Kadapa, Kurnool, Nellore and Prakasam.
YSR Congress had been defending the municipal results saying that the party is strong in Rural but it looks like Telugu Desam Party is also the choice of rural Junta. If the numbers of Municipal elections and MPTC/ZPTC elections translate in to votes, Telugu Desam Party will be well in to the power after 10 years. On the other side, Congress received a death blow in the region with Zero ZPTCs. In all probability, the party is heading towards one more Tamil Nadu like situation in SeemaAndhra.
