After a long time denial, Jagan Mohan Reddy Government finally admitted to violations in Rushikonda. The issue came up for hearing in the High Court today.
The counsel for the Government admitted in the court that the works are going on in more than the allowed three acres. Until now the Government is saying otherwise.
The petitioner’s counsel shocked the court further saying that the works are going on in as many as twenty acres.
The court finally ordered a survey by Union Forests and Environment departments and said further actions will be taken basing on the report.
The Government can be in trouble initially they said they are only renovating the Tourism resorts present there. Recently, Minister Gudivada Amar said the CM Tourism Guest House is being constructed.
The entire Rushikonda area has been cut off from the rest of the world and the Opposition are blocked from visiting the area in one name or the other. It looks like the Government is only trying to hide the irregularities.
In fact, the Government also informed the court on couple of occasions there are no violations in the ongoing constructions there.
