With every passing day, a new scam around YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s 500-crore worth Rushikonda Palace is being exposed.

According to the latest reports, the Electricity board issued notices to Rushikonda Palace to clear the electricity dues of around Rs. 60 lakhs.

Reportedly, two High Tension electric connections for this palace. On average, one connection (VSP2322) gets a monthly bill of around Rs. 7 lakhs and another one gets around Rs. 80000.

Even though no one stays in this palace, all lights are illuminated every day showcasing its “grandeur”. As a result, around two units of current are being used every day.

From November 2023 to May 2024, there is a pending bill payment of Rs. 54.52 lakhs. If we add June’s bill, the total pending amount will be around Rs. 60 lakhs.

As the government has been changed, the news about the pending electricity bills broke out. The officials of the Electricity Department issued notices to the palace and asked to clear the dues within 15 days.

From spending 36 lakhs for a bathtub to having electricity dues of 60 lakhs, there are a lot of scams surrounding Rushikonda Palace built by the YCP government.
