Rushikonda Palace & Amaravati Iconic Buildings Are the Same?

Jagan Mohan Reddy shaved off Rushikonda Hill and built a Palace with a Sea-facing view to use as his Residence cum Camp Office when he shifted the capital to Vishakapatnam. But a famous saying in Telugu goes like ‘తాను ఒకటి తలిస్తే దైవం మరొకటి తలుస్తుంది’.

Everything went topsy-turvy. Jagan could not shift to Vizag during his five-year term, and the elections resulted in a shameful defeat.

During his tenure, Jagan came under severe criticism for destroying the Rushikonda Hill for the Palace. He maintained utmost secrecy over these buildings and no one including the Opposition party leaders was allowed near the construction site.

Initially, the then Government used to bluff that these were buildings of the Tourism Department. Once their construction is completed, a committee formed by the Government gave a report that these buildings are best suited for the Chief Minister’s Camp Office when he shifts to Vizag

Now, the Palace which was supposed to be Jagan’s Dream House has become an embarrassment for YSR Congress.

The Ruling Party leaders have exposed how Jagan misused Public money to create pleasures and luxuries for his wife.

The 36 Lakh Rupees Bathtub, 12 Lakh Rupees Commodes, Costliest Interiors, and everything about the Palace became a talking point across the state.

Suddenly, the YSR Congress started a new tune. They say these buildings were constructed for the Prime Minister, President of India, and Foreign Delegates to reside whenever they visit the Port City and question why it is wrong.

Interestingly, they never said this when they were in power revealing their intention.

Telangana which is a rich state did not have a Palace built to house the Prime Minister, President of India, and Foreign Delegates. Why would AP need one?

Meanwhile, YSR Congress leaders are admitting the Luxurious construction and are questioning why it is wrong when Chandrababu Naidu is planning similar iconic structures in Amaravati. “Chandrababu is jealous that he could not build such a building in his previous tenure. He does not want Vizag to have an iconic building and only want everything in Vishakapatnam,” they allege.

Chandrababu Naidu would have been definitely jealous if the Building was intended as a Government Building for Public Use. It is constructed to please Jagan’s wife and because Jagan thought he would win the election once again.

If he had a remote idea he would lose 2024, he would not have constructed these buildings in the first place or he would have destroyed everything if the construction is already completed. For those who know about Jagan, they will easily understand this.

And as far as this – ‘Why not Iconic Buildings for Vizag?’ – These buildings are not the same. Everyone in the state knows the luxuries in the Palace are intended for Jagan’s Personal use, hence the present Government is repeatedly exposing it.

If a Government plans iconic buildings for Public use, no one will have an objection. For example, Amaravati’s Iconic Buildings are the Assembly, Secretariat, etc. There is no doubt to anyone about Chandrababu Naidu’s intention. They are always for the state and will last for Generations.

In the case of Rushikonda Palace, no one has any doubt that Jagan misused 430 Crore just to please himself and his wife.

If YSR Congress won 2024, we would have seen him shifting to the Palace and there would be no Kahani about this PM, President accommodation.

Instead of this bluff, the YSR Congress should close its eyes and pray the people forget the issue as soon as possible.
