Not Just Jagan, Even YSR Is Sai Reddy’s Target?

Sai Reddy YSR controversy

Former Rajya Sabha MP Vijaysai Reddy recently posted a message on X about Hinduism. This led to speculation that he may be trying to move closer to the BJP. His post quoted a video on religious conversions and carried a strong message.

The tone suggests that Sai Reddy is sending signals to the BJP. It remains to be seen how the party reacts to these hints. However, there is a deeper angle hidden in his message.

Sai Reddy demanded that the Government form a committee to investigate conversions over the last two decades. As we are now in 2025, this timeline dates back to 2005. This period covers the entire duration from YSR’s regime to the present.

It is widely known that Christian conversions increased significantly during YSR’s rule. YSR’s own family has been described as an evangelist family. There were also allegations that YSR supported conversions through his son in law Brother Anil Kumar.

Sai Reddy’s demand indirectly brings all that past into focus. Many wonder why he is reopening this chapter. His issues with Jagan Mohan Reddy are well known, but targeting YSR now raises questions.

Sai Reddy served as YSR’s family auditor during that era. He was named as Accused Number Two in all disproportionate assets cases of Jagan Mohan Reddy, with allegations that he assisted in the money amassing during the same period. After YSR’s sudden demise, he entered politics and became Number Two in YSR Congress Party.

Vijayasai Reddy has maintained close ties with senior BJP leaders since his YSRCP days. Even though he is not in active politics now, he continues to speak positively about the BJP, which holds power at the national level. His recent comments follow their tone, even to the extent of cornering the late YSR.
