Tollywood celebrated the historic Oscars campaign of RRR the other day after Naatu Naatu won the mighty Oscars earlier last month. RRR team was facilitated at the celebratory event. The event got good press and coverage from all the mainstream media outlets but Sakshi had reservations about the same.
Going into the story, team RRR, including the main men behind Naatu Naatu – Keeravani and Chandrabose who received the Oscars on stage spoke at length at the event.
When celebrating such historic feats, it is common for those involved to share their personal stories and experiences. Keeravani did the same. He spoke highly of Ramoji Rao who encouraged him at the early stages of his career. He said one should live like Ramoji Rao at least for a day in their lives. This statement was carried by mainstream media.
However, Sakshi media, being Sakshi media conveniently trimmed Keeravani’s statements. In the newspaper edition, Sakshi trimmed Keeravani’s words about Ramoji Rao and plainly reported about how he spoke about the collective efforts of RRR team.
But at the same time, Sakshi reported almost all of what Chandrabose had to say. It is clearly understood that Sakshi wanted to chop off the warm words Keeravani, the main behind Oscars-winning Naatu Naatu, had to say about Ramoji Rao. M
