Campaigning in the Jubilee Hills constituency is in full swing, with all major political parties announcing their candidates. The atmosphere has turned intense as verbal clashes between party leaders have already begun.
Amid the rising political activity, the Election Commission and police are closely monitoring public speeches and social media posts of leaders and their supporters.
The Borabanda police have registered a case against one of the candidates, Salman Khan, following a complaint from election vigilance officers. He has been accused of delivering hate speeches and posting inflammatory content online.
According to reports, the police acted after finding that Salman Khan made religion-based remarks during public meetings and on social media platforms. Acting on the EC’s complaint, a case was filed against him under multiple sections.
Authorities say his statements were capable of influencing public sentiment in the city. The police have now directed Salman Khan to remove the objectionable content immediately from all digital platforms.
