TDP Senior Leader Late Kodela Siva Prasad Rao lost from Sattenapalli in 2019 elections. He later passed away by commiting suicide. Ambati Rambabu who won over Kodela is the Irrigation Minister right now.
There are rumors that Ambati will not get ticket in 2024 and Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy will take his place.
While the political arena is in favor of TDP, the party is making it unnecessarily complicated by not finalizing the candidate for Sattenapalli.
Kodela’s son, Siva Ram is expecting the seat but there have been many allegations on him in 2014-19. He is said to be the prime reason for Kodela losing 2019. So, Chandrababu is in two minds.
Former MP Rayapati Samba Siva Rao’s son Rangababu, Former MLA YV Anjaneyulu, TDP Young Leader Mallibabu are also expecting the ticket. All of them are operating independently and cadre is confused about whom to support.
If the confusion is not cleared as soon as possible, the party high command is only making it difficult in a very easy seat.
Since it’s formation in 2004, Sattenapalli constituency had witnessed a TDP MLA only once (Kodela in 2014-19).
