Believing Senior IPS AB Venkateswara Rao worked against YSR Congress between 2014 and 2019 as the then Intelligence Chief, Jagan was after him after coming to power.
He was charged with procuring security-related equipment like aerostat and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) from Israel during his tenure without following rules. But then, ABV says those are false claims and the equipment was never procured in the first past.

He fought a legal battle and was reinstated in May 2022, following an order from the Supreme Court.
Later Government once again suspended him within a few days on the same charges.

He fought a long battle in the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) and got a favorable verdict in his favor, a few days ago.
The Government once again appealed the CAT’s Verdict in the High Court and the High Court once again ruled in favor of ABV.
Today is the last day of his Service and the Government reinstated him as the Commissioner of Printing and Stationery.
He took charge in the Afternoon and will retire in the Evening.
An officer of Director General Rank lost five years of Service because of Political Vendetta and with baseless charges.
This last-minute reinstatement means he will get his Pension and other Benefits.
