Shawls Turned Dresses: TDP MLA’s Noble Initiative

Politicians and public representatives often get felicitated at every event they attend. People honour them with shawls and bouquets. Most of the time, these shawls are kept aside and are not reused.

TDP MLA from Denduluru, Chintamaneni Prabhakar and his team decided to use these shawls for a noble cause. They turned those shawls into dresses and gifted them to underprivileged and orphaned girl children.

Speaking about his initiative, Prabhakar said, “We have started ‘The Give Back’ initiative, which provides dresses to little girls with the shawls I receive from every event. We have invested Rs. 450 for each dress and made dresses for 250 young girls.”

“It would be great if people who are often felicitated use those shawls for similar initiatives so that underprivileged kids benefit. Our target is to distribute these dresses to the kids before this Christmas,” he added.

His team stated that they are planning to distribute these dresses to kids on their birthdays as well, with their names imprinted on them to give a more personalized feel.

Meanwhile, netizens are appreciating Chintamaneni for this great initiative and urging other MLAs and politicians to follow the same route.
