Chilkur Balaji Priest Attacked

In a shocking incident, the chief priest of the world-famous Chilkur Balaji Temple, CS Rangarajan, was brutally attacked at his residence near the temple in Hyderabad on February 7.

Reports suggest that the attackers, claiming to be descendants of the Ikshvaku dynasty, assaulted the priest for refusing to align with their radical vision of “Rama Rajya” and private armies.

The priest’s father, Dr. MV Soundararajan, who also serves as the Temples Protection Movement convener, filed a police complaint, stating that the attackers manhandled his son for not endorsing their extremist agenda. He urged authorities to investigate the group’s hidden backers and motives.
