Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department had released a video in which Tourism officials are in a heated argument with the organizers of a capsized boat belonging to River Boating Adventure Company at Durga Ghat saying that they have no permissions to operate.

After a heated argument, the boat driver left the Durga Ghat and in the evening, the driver is back with the boat to Ibrahimpatnam Ghat to make quick bucks due to high demand on the occasion of Karthika Masam Sunday.
There are rumours that some higher officials of Tourism department are partners in the boat company which has to be revealed in the inquiry. Since it is Sunday, the vigilance is not available at the ghat which came as an advantage to the Boat Driver. Finally, that has killed about 20 people.
The driver who operated the boat has no prior experience operating it in the Krishna River and does not even have the route map. There is no sufficient number of life jackets but the boat driver convinced the people to take the trip saying he will bring them back safely.
