Social media Opinion Turns for Kejriwal

The social media played an important role in the rise of political party AAP as well as Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Having a huge Twitter following of over 1.2 million, Kejriwal and his party has made great use of the social media to organise events and gathering support for his rallies. But as the fog clears and more of Kejriwal’s political views come forward, it seems that the same social media is turning against him. Indeed, in recent days Twitter has seen critical hashtags such as #QuitAAP and #AAPdrama. This is in response to Kejriwal’s sit-in street protest which caused huge portions of the city as well as the metro stations to be closed off.
