It is known to our readers that Andhra Pradesh Government refused to allow the students and employees from Telangana until they agree to spend 14 days in Government Quarantine Facility to mitigate the risk of Coronavirus spread in the state. Even though it sounded harsh on the people who are actually from AP, many supported the Government’s decision.
But then, the Government has come under criticism now. Leading Infra Company MD, Krishna Reddy of MEIL met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and handed over a cheque of Five Crore for Coronavirus relief activities. Krishna Reddy donated the same amount to Telangana Government as well.
He handed over the cheque directly to KCR, a couple of days ago. Twitterati is asking why Krishna Reddy is allowed into the state without having to spend 14 days in Government Quarantine Facility. “Are the rules only for commoners? Rich will not have anything like that?” they question.
That is definitely a good point. The Government should have asked to wire transfer the donation instead.
