For the last few days, there are rumours that KTR will be elevated in TRS by getting promoted to the Party’s Working President in the Plenary. But then, it did not happen and KCR continued as the Party President for the eighth term in a row.

As always there is no Working President Position in the party. TRS Sources say that KCR indeed planned to elevate KTR but then he was taken back by Congress’ onslaught. When the rumour broke out, Congress leaders came hard at the Chief Minister for his Putra Vatsalyam and went on to the extent of inviting Harish Rao into their party.
Even though Harish Rao condemned them, KCR felt that there is no use of taking the unnecessary risk just two years before the elections. In all probability, KCR will go to elections with him being the face of TRS. If the pink party manages to win the election with record Majority, KTR will be sworn in as the next Chief Minister.
This will solve the problem very easily. , KT Ramarao is almost the de facto Chief Minister of the state holding five important portfolios, the highest than any other minister in KCR’s cabinet. We have seen KCR taking the back seat in the last couple of years and allowing KTR to put up the show.
