BJP MP Subramanian Swamy poses himself as a champion of Hindutva and Right-wing causes. That was before BJP came to power and after that, we have seen him always sulking at his own government.
He also distanced himself from Hindutva ideology and surprise everyone by lending lip service to Jagan Mohan Reddy Government on every Hindutva-related issue.
We have seen him file defamation cases against those who criticize the Jagan government and he also gives clean chit to Jagan government in every such issue.
YSR Congress tries to give itself a clean image using Swamy’s past track record.
TDP has been alleging that Subramanian Swamy is looking for an extension of his Rajya Sabha tenure using YSR Congress’s support. Swamy himself confirmed that now.
“I am unhappy with my six years tenure in Parliament and want to come back to Parliament from Andhra Pradesh in the next General elections. I hail from a village near Madurai, my son-in-law is the son of Visakhapatnam-based retired IAS officer EAS Sharma. My great-grandfathers worked as the commander-in-chief of TTD’s temples,” he said.
In the same conversation, Swamy gave a clean chit to YSR Congress once again indicating his intention.
“The allegations on YSR Congress leaders looting Srivani Trust are wrong. The rumors about YS Subba Reddy and his wife being Christians are wrong. TTD is even ready for the CAG audit. There are no conversions in Andhra Pradesh. I never saw TTD so organized,” he added.
It is almost like Subramanian Swamy is singing Suprabhatam to Jagan. But the problem here is Swamy did similarly to Jayalalitha and Sonia like this previously. But when they did not oblige to his fantasies and wishes, we have seen him do a witchhunt with vengeance. It has to be seen if Jagan can accommodate an MP seat for him.
