The state of Telangana could be preparing for an upcoming bi election very soon. This is regarding the disqualification of Danam Nagender who operated as Khairatabad MLA all the while.
Earlier the Telangana High Court had disqualified him as an MLA for defecting his earlier BRS party after the election joining the Congress.
This was quickly challenged at the Supreme Court by the senior MLA, but he did not find any respite here either. The Supreme Court immediately dismissed with this case, almost instantly after it came to a hearing earlier today.
This would essentially mean that the earlier order issued by the High Court would stand in effect, and Nagender will no longer be continuing an MLA.
This will soon warrant by election in Khairatabad Assembly constituency, which happens to be in the heart of Hyderabad. This election could be considered as a public mandate on the three years. Role of Revanth Reddy’s Congress.
Revanth was successful in capturing the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency in the earlier by election and his image grew multiple times with that. So there is every chance that he will be looking to secure the seat again through Danam and that’s for sure.
