Those involved will have to revert back to the Apex Court by September 5.

The Apex court will verify the facts submitted by the ED and the Jagan’s lawyers and then decide whether to permit both CBI and ED investigations in Jagan’s simultaneously or hold the ED investigation till the CBI investigation is done. The Supreme Court will pass the order on 5 September.

Previously the CBI court stated that CBI and ED can investigate the case simultaneously. But the same was cancelled by the Telangana high court which put the ED investigation on hold. The supreme will take the final call on whether to permit simultaneous investigations on Jagan’s case on 5 September. This will be a significant development.
