TCS Has Bigger Plans in Vizag 2nd Campus

Works are in full swing to start Vizag operations of TCS. The AP government has given 2 lakh sq ft for lease in Millennium Towers. As TCS requested for land for future needs, the government allotted 21.16 acres of land on IT Hill 3.

Each acre was given at 99 paise. The lands were inspected by IT officials from Amaravati, APIIC officials and TCS engineering officials.

The group also visited other sites to identify a suitable land parcel for the second campus that TCS is planning in Vizag. For the other campus, 20 acres of reserve land in Kapuluppada was inspected. They even surveyed the land given to Adani Data Centre on Hill 4.

Two land parcels belonging to VRMDA in Paradesipalem were also inspected. Another hill spreading over 80 acres in Survey No 421 in Sivasaktinagar was shown. But TCS did not show much interest.

Earlier, it is known that 2 lakh sq ft has been given to TCS in Millennium Towers, A&B. Four floors in Tower A have been given to Conduent, the rest of it will be occupied by TCS.

However, the Towers fall under SEZ, due to which the Towers should be denotified. On April 4, Central body Central Board of Approval denotified the Towers. It’s just a matter of time for TCS to start operations. TCS provides services abroad and in India too. After denotification, TCS is eligible for all perks from the AP government.
