The BJP’s announcement of Bhupatiraju Srinivasa Varma as its contestant from the Narasapuram constituency sparked differences between the Telugu Desam and Jana Sena.
TDP and JSP leaders are not happy with Srinivasa Varma getting the ticket as they were vying for Raghu Rama Krishna Raju.
Thus, they didn’t turn up for Varma’s rally in the constituency.
After getting the ticket, Srinivasa Varma participated in a rally that went to Bhimavaram through Aakiveedu and Undi. Only BJP leaders participated in the rally.
TDP and JSP leaders didn’t show up and none of their flags were also seen in the rally.
They have opposed Srinivasa Varma’s selection as the alliance’s MP candidate. On the other side, BJP leaders questioned how can TDP and JSP take a call on their party candidate’s selection.
But then, TDP says it has given the seat to BJP only after the party high command promised it would accomodate Raghu Rama Krishna Raju as the candidate.
