The cops have taken five YCP party workers into custody, as primary accused individuals in the case. They were sent to Mangalagiri Rural Police Station.

The arrested individuals are Venkat Reddy, Mastanvali, Devanandam, Rambabu and Mohiuddin, hailing from Guntur.

YSRCP workers and supporters vandalised TDP headquarters located in Mangalagiri with stones, iron rods and sticks on October 19, 2021. The case couldn’t move forward all these days as YCP was ruling the state.

A fresh probe was launched when TDP came into power. The police have divided themselves into four teams and collected details of accused individuals over the last few days.

They have identified the culprits through CCTV footage of the office. Most of the accused are YCP leaders and workers from Guntur.

When learnt about the police investigation, some of the accused persons absconded while some others tried lobbying to join TDP.

However, the police didn’t waste time and took Guntur YCP leaders, corporators, ex-corporators, and student leaders into custody last night.

Upon investigation, they have arrested some of them. The search is going on for the rest of the accused.
