The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has prepared its second list of candidates as part of the electoral pact with the Janasena and the BJP, following a comprehensive understanding of the seats to be contested. It is reported that party chief Chandrababu Naidu will make an announcement regarding this.

Among the finalized candidates in the second list, names for four assembly seats in the combined Prakasam district have been confirmed, while the selection of the candidate for Darshi is still ongoing.

The party leadership has decided to field the current party in-charges from Giddalur, Markapuram, Chirala, and Kandukur seats. TDP and Janasena have already announced their first lists of candidates, with TDP declaring candidates for seven seats in the Prakasam district.

However, the selection of candidates for the remaining five seats has been delayed due to ongoing discussions with the BJP and the involvement of prominent figures like Ongole MP Magunta in the district.

In the recent agreement between the three parties, Darshi, initially assigned to Janasena, has now been included in the TDP’s account. Thus, TDP needs to announce candidates for the remaining five seats.

Earlier, the name of former MLA Muthumula Ashok Reddy was finalized for Giddalur. For other seats, it has been decided to field former MLA Kandula Narayana Reddy for Markapuram, MM Kondaiah Yadav for Sarala, and Kondaiyayadav and Inturi Nageswara Rao for Kandukuru.

Although the name for one Ara position has not yet been announced due to unexpected developments, it is expected that Ashok Reddy and two other candidates will be revealed in the second list after reaching an understanding with Janasena and BJP.

Various names are being considered for the candidacy, including Bachina Krishna Chaitanya, Dr. Lakshmi, and some family members of former minister Sidda who are already under consideration. Additionally, the serious consideration of Ravikumar, the head of Harshini educational institutions and current TDP in-charge, reflects the party’s thorough selection process.
